• Deadlines for Ph.D. and M.S. applications:
• For Fall Semesters: January 15
Results usually become available in mid March for Ph.D. applications and late March for M.S. applications.
• For Spring Semesters: October 1
Results usually become available in late October for both Ph.D. and M.S. applications.
• Deadlines for 5 year B.S./M.S. applications:
• For Fall Semesters: June 15
Applicants will be notified by late July.
• For Spring Semesters: November 15
Applicants will be notified by late December.
• Late applications for Spring Semesters: January 10
Applicants will be notified as soon as possible. However, the decision might be delayed and the applicant might not be able to register for graduate courses in the Spring semester.
• Students in the CS Honors Program applying for 5 year B.S./M.S. program:
Students in this program are guaranteed admission into the B.S./M.S. program.
However, to exercise this option, they must apply by the following deadlines:
• For Fall Semesters: June 15
• For Spring Semesters: January 10

Note:

Students admitted into the B.S./M.S. program must still formally submit the 4-page Graduate School Application Form to the Graduate Secretary when they are about to finish their undergraduate part of the program, i.e., in the semester preceding the entry into the graduate program.
This form is required to trigger the administrative process of changing the status of the student from undergraduate to graduate. Since this takes time and has to be coordinated with other administrative processes, the applicant must observe the following deadlines:
• For admission in the Fall Semester: April 15
• For admission in the Spring Semester: November 1
