We do not offer M.S. admission that leads to Ph.D. You have to apply either to our M.S. or the Ph.D. program. Admission into the Ph.D. program is much more competitive. M.S. students can apply for admission into the Ph.D. program after passing the Qualifying Examination, as described in the Computer Science Graduate Program Handbook. This handbook also describes each program in detail, which should help you decide which program suits your goals the most.
