I have set up forwarding on my Computer Science Email. Can I also disable the Junk-Email filter?

Back to Technical FAQ

The new Computer Science Exchange email system has a junk mail filter that will act on all incoming messages before forwarding to other accounts. That said, you will want to check your Junk Mail folder for legitimate messages. You can also turn this filter off by doing the following:

  1. Log in to http://mail.cs.stonybrook.edu

  2. Click on "Options" on the top right

  3. Click on "Block or Allow" on the left

  4. Select "Don't move mail to my Junk E-Mail folder"

  5. Press the "Save" button to save the changes

Keep in mind that doing this will cause more spam to end up in your inbox.
