Unix Department Dialup

Back to PPP Access

Unix users will need some or all of the following information:

• Your assigned IP address
• Your hostname - enter username.dialup where username is your department username.
• Your domain name - enter cs.sunysb.edu
• DNS server - 130.245.1.15
• Default gateway/route - 130.245.1.10
  Note: in most cases you can simply use the command "defaultroute" in your connection scripts to set the default route to the dialup server.
• Subnet mask - 255.255.0.0
