My research is at the intersection of networking, security, and systems. Before joining Stony Brook, I graduated with a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and was a research scientist at Intel Labs.

My most recent research is related to:
Middlebox design and management:
(SIMPLE: SIGCOMM 2013, FlowTags: HotSDN 2013, CoMb: NSDI 2012, DRFQ: SIGCOMM 2012, Aplomb: SIGCOMM 2012, NIDS LoadBalancing: CoNext 2012)
Internet video and content distribution:
(QoE: SIGCOMM 2013, HotNets 2012, idICN: SIGCOMM 2013, FESTIVE: CoNext 2012, Control Plane: SIGCOMM 2012, Engagement: SIGCOMM 2011)
Mobile web and privacy:
(WebComplexity: IMC 2012, WebSieve: HotMobile 2013, UserConfidence: SOUPS 2012)

Some of my older projects were on topics related to
Network management and monitoring
(cSamp: NSDI 2008, SmartRE: SIGCOMM 2009, Minimalist monitoring: IMC 2010, On-path NIDS/NIPS: CoNext 2010)
Scalable attack detection and forensics
(LADS: USENIX 2006, Random Moonwalks: Oakland 2005, Streaming Entropy: SIGMETRICS 2006)
