CS Alumni Honored for their Accomplishments

 

This year, ten of the 40 Under Forty honorees are from the Department of Computer Science. This group, which will be recognized at a reception on January 26, 2016, have been recognized by Stony Brook University for their contributions in their chosen field as well as their pursuit of commendable community and civil service initiatives that extend beyond their professional lives.

“I am always proud of our alumni when I hear of their amazing accomplishments post-SBU. This year, I am even more proud of the 40 Under Forty awardees because a quarter of them come from the Department of Computer Science”, said Ari Kaufman, Distinguished Professor and Chairman.

At the January 26 event at the Edison Ballroom in New York City, faculty, fellow alum, administrators and staff, will celebrate the creativity and ambition that propels these young professionals.
