Graduate Admission - Description of Research Areas
To enable us to direct your applications to reviewers that are in the best position to evaluate your application, we require all applicants to identify two areas of research interest from a list. Currently, this list consists of the following areas:
Areas | Labs |
Artificial Intelligence (including machine learning)
Graphics and Visualization
Networks | |
Programming Languages and Verification
Security (including cryptography, network security and software security; and research in most areas of CS as applied to these areas.) |
|
Theory (Algorithms, complexity, computational geometry, and computational biology)
Vision and Natural Language Processing |
This research interest list is not meant to be exhaustive, but is instead tuned to reflect the interests of our faculty. Still, it is not possible to cover all aspects of any faculty member's interests, so you will need to look at their laboratory or personal web sites to get a better understanding.
