How will my Form I-20 be mailed?

For new students, Visa and Immigration services will ship Form I-20’s via UPS express. Current students can request to receive their Form I-20’s via eShip Global.

My VISA application is held up in administrative processing or has been rejected. Can you help speed up administrative processing or write a letter on my behalf?

No. The Graduate Admissions staff or Program Faculty cannot speed up administrative processing or provide letters on a student’s behalf. Please contact your Visa and Immigration Student advisor regarding these matters; only he/she can advise.

I already made a VISA appointment but have not received my Form I-20. What can I do?

Students are advised not to make a VISA appointment until after receiving their Form I-20.

How long will it take to process my Form I-20?

Once all of the necessary paperwork has been completely submitted and approved, it will take approximately 4-6 weeks to issue your Form I-20.

I made a mistake on my Form I-20 application. How can I fix it?

If your Form I-20 application is in draft status, you can make revisions in accessVIS (note: the type of revision you wish to make may be limited due to the rules of the system). However, if your Form I-20 application is in review status, you will not be able to make changes. To make changes during review status, you must speak with your Visa and Immigration student advisor. Only your Visa and Immigration student advisor can give you access to make changes during review status.

How can I apply for a Form I-20?

If you are admitted and accept said admission, you will receive notification via e-mail with instructions on how to submit a Form I-20 application via the accessVIS application system.

Who will be processing my Form I-20 application?

The Graduate Admissions office does not process Form I-20 applications. Processing and the issuance of Form I-20’s is a function of the Visa and Immigration Services department.
