IACS Brown Bag Lunch: Deep Human-Machine Integrated Learning for Assistive Computer Agents

IACS Brown Bag: Machine learning transformed our reality. On a daily basis, computers are making consequential decisions that affect millions of human lives, in split seconds, at immense scale, and almost without human supervision. But the cost of machine teaching: cleaning, constructing, training, tuning, and deploying predictive models - is incredibly high. On the other hand human learning and teaching has gone somewhat static for the past few millennia! In this talk I will suggest a cross between deep machine learning and human learning into a unified framework, which may provide a more gentle integration of assistive AI in the lives of tech-averse persons (such as the elderly).
