May 13 - 13th Annual Game Programming Competition

You do not want to miss this year's Game Programming Competition! Taking place Friday, May 13th at 6p in the SAC Auditorium, students, alumni, faculty, family, and friends are invited to see Stony Brook University student finalists present their original game creations. After the student presentations, judges from several gaming companies and the community will present awards to the winning teams.

The winner of last year's competition, William Moodhe, created the game Vallhalla Run. Second place in the compeition was Jesse Talavera-Greenberg who presented his game, Orbital. Other finalists included the creators of such games as the Ninja Cat Castle, Grocery DASH, and Fruit Planet.

Judges from last year, who we hope to welcome back this year, include Don Baluyot from Rockstar Games, Martino Buffolino from Viacomm, Yves DeSousa from Eduware, Paul Gifford from Applied Visions, and Yousuf Haque from CA Technologies. All of these judges along with several others are Stony Brook alumni.
