A CRA Fellowship Award for Dr. Tapti Palit ‘21

 

Newly minted PhD graduate, Dr. Tapti Palit, earned a CIFellows award for her research titled “Towards Secure Browsers'' which focuses on software security and program analysis. Since winning the fellowship, Palit has been working as a systems postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Pedro Fonseca at Purdue University.

Palit’s CIFellowship research project explores various novel static analysis approaches to facilitate efficient and fine-grained privilege separation in web browsers and other Javascript and Web Assembly environments. Professor Michalis Polychroniakis in the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University advised Palit throughout her doctoral studies.

The CIFellows program was created by the  Computing Research Association (CRA) and the Computing Community Consortium (CCC), with strong support from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
