Graduating students celebrate their achievement.

The Department of Computer Science is proud to celebrate the Class of 2026 as students from the Computer Science, Data Science, and Information Systems programs prepare to graduate this May.

This year’s graduating class includes 203 undergraduate computer science students, 156 graduate computer science students, 69 undergraduate information systems students, and 85 graduate data science students.

Together, these students represent years of hard work, curiosity, and persistence. Throughout their time at Stony Brook, they have built technical skills, pursued research, completed ambitious projects, supported one another, and prepared to take the next step in their careers, graduate study, and professional lives.

“Commencement is a moment to recognize not only what our students have achieved, but also the promise of what comes next,” said Samir Das, professor and chair of the Department of Computer Science. “We are incredibly proud of our graduates and look forward to seeing the impact they will make as they carry their knowledge and ambition into the world.”

As commencement approaches, the department congratulates every graduate and thanks the faculty, staff, family members, mentors, and peers who supported them along the way.

To the Class of 2026: congratulations on this milestone. We are proud to celebrate your achievements and excited to see where your work, ideas, and ambition take you next.
