Stony Brook University, home to many highly ranked graduate research programs, is located 60 miles from New York City on Long Island's scenic North Shore. It is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU). The Department of Computer Science offers BS, MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science and BS degree in Information Systems. The BS program in Computer Science is ABET accredited. It currently has over 50 faculty members and is expected to grow significantly in the next several years. In 2015 the department moved to a new state-of-the-art 70,000 sq ft building. The department also offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the SUNY Korea campus in Songdo, South Korea.

Required Qualifications:  MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:   N/A  

Responsibilities & Requirements:  The selected candidate should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, and must have experience teaching Computer Science at the university level. The candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced CS undergraduate, and possibly graduate courses.  Engaging in research is encouraged but not mandatory.

Special Notes:  This is a non-tenure track position.  FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.  Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
