Faculty Positions (All Levels) – Cybersecurity and Computer Systems
The Computer Science Department and the National Security Institute (NSI) at Stony Brook University invite applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in Cyber Security at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels. Applications are processed on an ongoing basis until all positions are filled. The start date can be as early as spring 2019.
Senior and junior candidates in all areas of computer systems and security are invited to apply. We are particularly interested in cyber security spanning systems, networking, languages, privacy, big data, mobile, IoT, hardware, and clouds. All applicants should hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline and must demonstrate outstanding research accomplishments and potential.
Senior-level positions target candidates with world-wide visibility and stellar research programs, and come with the title of SUNY Empire Innovation Professor, enhanced salary and research support. The candidate will be joining a vibrant and friendly research team at the NSI. The Computer Science Department (https://www.cs.stonybrook.edu) is home to a highly-collaborative research community of over 50 faculty members and is expected to continue its fast growth in the coming years. The department’s brand new building features over 70,000 sqft of laboratories and offices, augmented by additional space in the affiliated Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) with its 100,000 sqft state-of-the-art facility.

Stony Brook University’s Department of Computer Science invites applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professors levels for Fall 2017. Exceptionally qualified junior and senior candidates in all areas of Computer Science are invited to apply. Candidates in the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: Computer Systems and Networking, Smart Cities and Infrastructure (jointly with Civil Engineering), Cyber-Physical Systems and Engineering, Smart Grid, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Security, Computational Science, and Computer-driven Medicine, yet all areas of Computer Science will be considered.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline and must demonstrate superior research potential.
The Department currently has over 50 faculty members and is expected to recruit additional members in the next several years.
