Biography

Bongki Moon is the professor and chair of Computer Science at the State University of New York, Incheon Korea (SUNY Korea). He joined the faculty of the University in 2026. Prior to that, he was a tenured full professor of Comptuer Science & Engineering at Seoul National Unversity from Spring 2013 to Fall 2025, and an assistant, a tenured associate, and a tenured full professor of Computer Science at the University of Arizona from Fall 1997 to Fall 2012. He also worked for the research divisions of Samsung Electronics and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology from 1985 to 1990. He received his PhD degree of Computer Science from University of Maryland College Park in 1996, and his MS and BS degrees of Computer Engineering from Seoul National University in 1985 and 1983, respectively.
