Event Description

CS Professor Erez Zadok will discuss how to land the BEST jobs and internships.
Just show up to ESS if you want to attend. He will discuss the process of getting summer internships and full-time jobs. Prof. Zadok will cover many do’s and don’ts, starting from preparing for interviews, through the interview process, negotiating the best package, and more. The talk is intended for new graduate computer science students, but is applicable to many other students as well.

Erez Zadok received the PhD degree in computer science from Columbia University in 2001. He directs the File Systems and Storage Lab (FSL) at the Computer Science Department at Stony Brook University, where he joined as faculty in 2001. His current research interests include file systems and storage, operating systems, energy efficiency, performance and benchmarking, security, and networking. He received the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, two NetApp Faculty awards, and two IBM Faculty awards.
He is a member of the USENIX, ACM SIGOPS, and IEEE.
