The Honda Initiation Grant was inaugurated by the Honda Motor Company in 1997 to reach out to the vast talent that exists in academic research communities. Every year, a selected group of winners are chosen from a large pool of applicants and given one- time funding to help make their conceptual ideas a reality.

Named in honor of Senator Joseph William Fulbright, the Fulbright Scholar program was created in 1946 as a way to demonstrate mutual understanding and friendly appreciation for people of other countries.

With this award, EDUCOM, a consortium of more than 500 colleges and universities committed to the improved quality of higher education software quality, seeks to identify and reward outstanding computer software and curricular innovations for undergraduate liberal arts subjects.

This award recognizes a series of contributions to the Department of Computer Science given constantly over the course of an individual’s entire career.

This award is given to a faculty member who demonstrates excellence in the education of undergraduate students in CSE classes. The award recognizes student success and comprehension of the recipient's course material, and positive feedback.

This award is given to a faculty member who acts as an exemplary model for service to the department, university, and/or community. The award is for selfless acts of helping others and contributing to work that is not one’s own.

This award recognizes outstanding research done within the department. The recipient is chosen on the basis of the accolades and/or outside recognition given to their work.

This award is given to a faculty member who has demonstrated continual support of the Graduate program. The award recognizes significant contributions to either the education or research of postgraduates.

The Department of Computer Science gives out a Certificate of Appreciation to individuals who may not be directly affiliated with the Department, but nevertheless exemplify helpful service to our needs and goals.
