2014-2015 CS Distinguished Lecture Series Announced

 

The Department of Computer Science and the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) are happy to announce the upcoming schedule for the Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS). Beginning on November 21st, Ramin Zabih, PhD, Professor of Computer Science at Cornell University, will present his research on Solving Medical Deconvolution Problems with Higher-order Graph Cuts.

From Stanford University, Dan Boneh, PhD, Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, will present his research on Friday, December 5th. Best known for his work on the television series, The Simpsons and Futurama, Jeff Westbrook, PhD, will visit the department on January 26th. Westbrook will discuss his work as a successful algorithms researcher, and how it helped him in his career as a TV-writer. Eva Tardos, PhD, Professor of Computer Science at Cornell University, will present her research on Composable Mechanisms, Learning, and Price of Anarchy Auctions on February 2.
