Connecting to SBU Computer Science Palo Alto Network GlobalProtect Gateway from Apple Mobile Device (iPhone or iPad)

1. Go to the App store and download the Global protect VPN client.

   

2. Once downloaded, tap on the Global Protect app to open.

   

   1. You may be prompted that Global Protect would like to send you Notifications.  Click allow.

   2. Click continue on the bottom of the screen.

      

3. Connect to the VPN for the first time.

   1. When prompted for "What's your portal address" type in vpn.cs.stonybrook.edu and tap connect.

      

   2. You will be prompted to "Allow Global protect to configure VPN connections."  You must press Allow.

      

   3. When prompted to "Sign In" enter your CS Department username and password.  You must type cs\ before your username as below.

      

   4. Once connected your screen will turn blue and say Connected.  To disconnect tap the icon in the center of the screen.

      

After connecting for the first time you can now open up the Global protect app and click on "Connect" to establish a connection with the VPN and "Disconnect" to logout of the VPN.
