CHANGING PASSWORDS

How can I change my unix password? Log into compserv.cs.sunysb.edu or compute.cs.sunysb.edu and execute: yppasswd You'll need to type the old password and then the new one (twice). Please note that you will not be allowed to reuse the old password or minor variations of it. You need to wait 60-90 seconds for the change to propagate before using the new password.

How can I change my password in Windows? Login to a workstation that is part of the CS Windows domain (all workstations in the department Windows labs). Once you are successfully logged in, type: ctl-alt+del and select "Change Password" and fill in the blanks. Passwords on Windows are case sensitive so watch out for the caps lock button.
